1. Who we are

Takeoff Check Pro ("we," "us," or "the Service") provides AI-assisted takeoff review software for utility and sitework contractors. This policy applies to our website and the Takeoff Check Pro application.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the Service:

• Account information — your name, email address, company name, and password when you create an account.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Plan files you upload — the PDF, image, and drawing files you upload so the AI can analyze them, along with the takeoff data generated from them.
• Usage information — basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, used to keep the Service reliable and secure.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Analyze the plan sheets you upload and generate your takeoff results.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Respond to support requests and communicate important account or service notices.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded plans to train AI models.

4. File storage and deletion

Your uploaded plans and the takeoff data generated from them are stored securely and are private to your account. They are never shared with other users.

• You can delete individual projects and their files at any time from inside the app.
• If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days so you can export it, then permanently deleted.
• If you close your account, you can request immediate deletion of all your data.

5. Third-party services

To deliver the Service we rely on a small number of trusted providers:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — the AI that reads and analyzes your plan sheets is provided through Anthropic's API. Plan images are transmitted to Anthropic only to generate your results. Per Anthropic's policies, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
• Payment processing — a PCI-compliant payment provider handles subscription billing.
• Hosting and infrastructure — reputable cloud hosting providers store and serve the application over encrypted connections.

Each provider only receives the information needed to perform its function.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the app works.

7. Data security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you promptly if a breach affects your account.

8. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

• Access and export the personal data and project data associated with your account.
• Correct inaccurate account information.
• Delete your projects, files, or entire account.
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
